Welcome to the coastal pilgrim route, Ørland. Here you can experience the medieval church Ørland Church and Austråttborgen from the late Middle Ages. Ørland has a beautiful coastal culture with large protected areas for seabirds and wetlands. The pilgrimage route from Brekstad to Austrått is approx. 7 km, along the coast on beautiful hiking trails. You will find information posters in the area you travelling. If you come by speedboat from Trondheim or Kristiansund, you can rent a bike from Ørland Kultursenter and get a great bike ride in the Austrått landscape. From the speedboat dock to Ørland Church, it is 1.4 km. Here you can experience both the church and the stories of the archaeological excavations, that show that the area has been an important place since Viking times. In Brekstad, you will find several cafes where you can buy lunch or take a coffee break. In the summer, Borgstua is open at Austråttborgen. Have a good trip.

Welcome to Reins Kloster and Museet Kystens Arv in Indre Fosen municipality, the last two key places before you take the last stage to Nidaros Cathedral! Here you can take the trip to sea or challenge yourself with one or more hiking stages. The key site Reins Kloster in Rissa contains several thousand years of history as a royal estate, a nunnery up to today's ecological operation. Here is also the beautiful Rein Church. Nøkkelstedet Kystens Arv på Stadsbygder a museum around the clinker-built boat, both historically and with still active boat building. Spread out from the moment you arrive by boat to Hasselvika and take you from there via Rissa to Stadsbygd, you will find interesting points that are now sounded here with Voice of Norway!

Valldalsleia is a pilgrimage route that follows in the footsteps of St. Olav. For Olav, it was an escape route, but for today's hikers, it is an experiential path. When St. Olav fled the country in the winter of 1028-1029, he beached his ships in Valldal and from there he walked over the mountain to Lesja and Dovre.
