Mauseidvåg

We now see Mauseidvåg at the innermost point of the bay – a small settlement where people have lived close to the sea for generations. The area has deep roots in farming, fishing, and small-scale industry. In earlier times, this was a natural hub for boat traffic, with a dock, local shop, and the mail boat connecting nearby communities. Today, many residents commute to work in Ålesund or Langevåg, but there’s still life in local workshops and small businesses.
