Frognerkilen See the forest of sail masts? The bay Frognerkilen has the biggest marina for private leisure boats in Oslo. A survey showed that there are almost 1 million leisure boats in Norway, for a population of 5 million - so almost every 5th person owns some type of boat, including kayaks, canoes, sailboats etc. Most popular are motorboats without any overnight cabins. The same survey showed that the boats are however only used an average of 28 days per year, high season is in July. The two buildings guarding the entrance to the bay are called the King and the Queen. They house offices and are also available to rent for private parties.
